HOW IT WORKS: DESIGNER-24 BASICS


What is Designer-24?

Designer-24 is an online designer dress rental company in the UAE and Lebanon.
We provide key runway looks for any occasion – from cocktail to black tie. With growing focus on social media, you no longer have to worry about being seen in the same dress twice. The concept of borrowing a dress is not new – designers have lent dresses to celebrities for decades. Our goal is to provide you with ongoing access to the most desirable looks of the season.

How does Designer-24 work?

Designer-24 is a dress rental company.

  • Browse our categories and occasions tab to choose your dress to rent. We have something for everyone. You can filter by occasion, size, color, or check our Social Shop of dresses available to rent straight from our Instagram account (we recommend booking 24 hours in advance).
  • We will call you to confirm delivery time once you book your order. Your order will arrive at the address of your choice during your scheduled delivery window.
  • We will call you on the return date to schedule pick up of the dress. We take care of the dry cleaning.

What if I accidentally stain or damage the dress?

We understand that some wear and tear may be inevitable. The mandatory insurance of 5% of rental value covers minor stains and damages that can be repaired.

Will the dresses need to be pressed upon arrival?

We do our best to ensure your dresses arrive wrinkle-free. Each dress is steamed and pressed before being delivered. If you receive a dress with slight creases, please try steaming the garment on low heat or contact us for advice.

Common Terms and Definitions

  • Delivery Date:  When your dress is guaranteed to arrive
  • Return Date:  When your dress is due to be collected
  • Insurance: 5% of rental price covers minor wear and tear that can be repaired
  • Free Backup Size / Free 2nd Size: We offer a free back-up size if available to encourage the best fit
  • D24+: A try on service offered by Designer-24. Choose up to 3 different styles with 3 back-up sizes if available to be delivered to you on the spot and wear the one you like!

How are the dresses cleaned?

We take great care to clean the dresses. As soon as the dresses arrive back to our warehouse, they are sent the same day to dry cleaning.

How do I choose the perfect dress?

Filter by size, length, color and designer.
We provide a size chart on each dress page and details under Size & Fit.

What if none of the dresses I ordered fit?

Get another dress: contact us on the delivery date to get a credit towards another dress. We pick up the dress the next day and either send a new dress or issue credit for a future dress rental. Credit will not be issued if we are not informed on the delivery date of size/fit issues.

What is a back-up size?

We offer a free back-up size subject to availability to help ensure the perfect fit.

How long is a rental?

Our most common rental periods are 3- or 8-day reservations. We recommend you book your order to arrive 1 day prior to your event to ensure you have time to get the perfect look. For any rentals over 8 days, please contact us to arrange.

When should I make a reservation for a dress?

You can book your dress up to 8 months in advance. We recommend you schedule your order to arrive 1 day before your event.


SHIPPING: DELIVERY & RETURN


What time will my dress arrive?

Once an order is placed online, you will receive an order confirmation email and call to confirm your delivery window. For orders placed before 6pm in Dubai, we can do same-day delivery within 2 hours. Contact us for any questions regarding delivery.

What are my delivery options?

Our customer service team calls you on your delivery and pick-up dates to schedule drop-off and pick-up of the dress to your home, office or hotel. You can also opt for self-collection from our Showroom, or Contact us to arrange a convenient time for delivery/pick-up.

How do I return my dress?

On your return date, our customer service team will contact you to arrange a convenient pickup time.

How much does shipping cost?

  • UAE: The rates are AED 25 for Dubai deliveries and AED 50 for major cities in other Emirates.
  • Lebanon: The rates are $15 for Beirut deliveries and $30 for other major cities.
  • You can save the cost of delivery by picking up and dropping off your order from our showroom. Check our locations at the contact us page.

Do you ship to P.O. boxes?

No we don’t

Can you deliver to a hotel or another address besides my home?

Sure! If you're shipping to a hotel or office, please put the hotel or office name in the address field as well as the reservation guest name, if applicable.

Is a signature required for delivery?

Yes, customers are required to sign or have someone sign on their behalf.

How do I cancel an order?

To cancel an order in UAE contact us at customercare@designer-24.com or +971 50 395 4730, for Lebanon leb@designer-24.com or +961 76 188 966 and we’ll take care of it for you — just let us know as soon as possible and we will issue a credit coupon.
For dresses that arrive and don't fit, get another dress: contact us on the delivery date to get a credit towards another dress. We pick up the dress the next day and either send a new dress or issue credit for a future dress rental. Credit will not be issued if we are not informed on the delivery date of size/fit issues.

What if I return my order late?

Please make sure to be available when our customer service team calls to schedule pickup on your return date or drop off the dress to our showroom.
Please keep in mind that someone else is counting on this dress for their special event. If you return the dress late, Designer-24 charges 5% of the retail value of the Dress for each day, with a total penalty of twice the retail value of the Dress being due for any Dress not returned after 20 calendar days.

Can I keep or purchase a dress?

We only offer our dresses for rent at this time. However, if you are interested in purchasing a dress, please contact us. For clearance dresses on sale, please see [clearance page].

My order hasn't arrived yet. When can I expect to receive my rental?

For orders placed before 7pm in Dubai, we can do same-day delivery within 2 hours. Contact us for any questions regarding delivery.


PLACING AN ORDER


Can I place an order by phone?

All orders have to be booked through the site, You can contact us to assist you with the booking.

Do I need to register to place an order?

Yes! By creating an account with Designer-24, all your details will be saved. This will make your purchases easier and quicker. Using your login username & password, you won't need to re-enter your address and other information.

How do I find the right size?

Click the size chart link to find out your size using the international size conversion chart. For further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact our stylist.

Is styling advice available?

Yes! We offer styling advice in both the UAE & Lebanon. Please contact our stylist for any style advice..


MAKING A PAYMENT


What are the payment methods accepted by Designer-24?

You can pay using your credit/debit card. All payments are processed through a secure checkout system.

Can I pay over the phone?

For your own security it is not allowed to pay over the phone. Our Customer Care team will be happy to assist and guide you to place your order, simply contact us

How secure are my credit card details?

  • At Designer-24 we take the essential precautions to make our site secure.
  • All credit card transactions on the website are processed using a secure online payment gateway that encrypts your card details in a secure host environment.

HOW IT WORKS: D24+


Can I try on a dress at home?

Renting with Designer-24 is risk free. If you wish to try on dresses at home, Designer-24 can offer our D24+ service for AED 100. You can tick this option at the dress page. You can book up to 3 styles with 3 back-up sizes if available. Only the dress you keep will be charged. Zero obligations, zero guilt.

How does D24+ work?

  • Upon selecting the D24+ service, the delivery will be the same day for Dubai customers and next day for the rest of the UAE.
    Designer-24 will call you to schedule the desired drop-off time as soon as you book your order. We can deliver the dresses to you within 2 hours of your booking as long as you book D24+ before 7:00pm. Orders booked after 7:00pm will be delivered next day.
  • Choose up to 3 styles with backup dresses if available to be delivered together by ticking the gray box "BOOK D24+ for AED 100"
  • Click on 'Book your First D24+ Style' to proceed with the reservation.
  • At the cart page, you will notice "D24+" service applied automatically, you will be charged only the D24+ service charges of AED 100
  • We will deliver your selected styles straight to your door.
  • Our courier will wait 30 minutes while you try the dresses and return the ones you don't want to keep.
  • We will charge you only for the dresses you keep. If you would like to make a future reservation for any of the dresses you tried, you may do so online.
  • You will receive a call from us after 3 days to pick up any dresses you kept.
  • If none of the dresses meet your expectations, you may return all the dresses and no extra charge will be applied.

Is D24+ Service available in Lebanon?

Yes, It is finally in Lebanon.

Is renting at Designer-24 RISK-FREE?

D24+ is risk free. We have provided the D24+ service for AED 100 so you can try more than one style and size. You will only be charged for any dresses you keep. Zero obligations, zero guilt.

Can I try on dresses and only pay for the one I wear?

You can try up to 3 dresses with 3 back-up sizes if available, and we will only charge you for the dresses you keep.

Who cleans the dresses?

We handle dry cleaning. Each item is cleaned before it is sent to you and after.

Will I need to iron the dress?

We do our best to ensure your dresses arrive wrinkle-free. Each dress is steamed and pressed before being delivered.

What about minor damages and spills?

We understand that some wear and tear may be inevitable. The mandatory insurance of 5% of rental value covers minor stains and damages that can be repaired.
